Our automated verification system is designed to review your documents quickly so you can start trading. The system reads documents automatically and categorizes the results. If your document is marked as "partially readable" or fails the check, you will be asked to upload it again.
Here are the most common reasons an upload is rejected and how to fix them:
1. Poor Image Quality (Blur or Glare)
The Issue: The camera did not focus properly, or the flash created a white glare over important information (like your name, face, or document number).
The Fix: Turn off your camera flash. Place the document on a flat surface in a well-lit room with natural light. Tap your smartphone screen to focus the camera before taking the picture.
2. Cut-Off Edges
The Issue: The system cannot verify the authenticity of a document if parts of it are cropped out.
The Fix: Ensure all four corners of the ID or utility bill are clearly visible inside the photo frame. Do not hold the document with your fingers covering any text.
3. Expired Documents
The Issue: Your proof of identity has passed its expiration date.
The Fix: Please upload a currently valid government-issued ID or passport.
4. Name or Details Mismatch
The Issue: The name on your Rise profile does not exactly match the name on your submitted documents.
The Fix: Double-check your profile details. If you made a typo during registration, please contact our support team to update your profile.
What Happens if I Keep Failing?
If the automated system cannot read your document after multiple attempts, you will be given the option to skip the automated step. Your document will then be securely transferred to our Customer Experience (CX) team for a manual review. You will receive an email notification with the rejection reason and a link to try again if needed.
