What you can change yourself, what needs verification, and how long each takes.
Your account details are tied to regulatory requirements, so some changes you can make in one click and others need to be reviewed by our team. Here's the full picture.
What You Can Change Yourself
You can update the following directly in your Portal → Profile / Settings:
Phone number — confirmed by SMS/email code.
Email address — confirmed by a link sent to both the old and new email.
Password — confirmed by your current password and a 2FA code if enabled.
Marketing preferences — opt in or out of communications.
Trading platform language — applies to your Portal interface.
Self-service changes take effect immediately.
What Requires Re-Verification
The following changes must be reviewed because they are linked to your KYC profile:
Field | Documents typically needed | Processing |
|---|---|---|
Legal name (incl. spelling correction) | Updated government ID + a short reason | 1–3 business days |
Date of birth | Updated government ID | 1–3 business days |
Country of residence | Updated proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, etc., dated within 3 months) | 1–3 business days |
Residential address | Updated proof of address | 1–3 business days |
Tax residency / TIN | Updated tax form or self-declaration | 1–3 business days |
Important: Until the new documents are approved, your previous details remain on file. In rare cases, withdrawals may be paused while a major change (e.g. country of residence) is in review.
How to Submit a Change That Needs Verification
Log in to your Rise Portal.
Go to Profile → Edit details (or Documents).
Update the field you need to change.
Upload a clear, full-page scan or photo of the supporting document.
Submit.
You'll see the status as Pending review in your Portal and receive an email once it's processed.
Tips to Avoid Rejections
Documents must be in color, not black-and-white photocopies.
All four corners visible — no part of the page cut off.
Address documents must be dated within 3 months.
Name on the document must match exactly the name on your account.
What If My ID Has Expired?
You'll need to upload a new valid ID before any other personal-information change can be processed.
