We know that waiting for funds to arrive can be stressful. Most deposits at Rise are processed automatically and appear in your account instantly. However, depending on the payment method you used, there are times when funds may be delayed.
If your deposit has not yet appeared in your Rise wallet, here are some possible reasons why:
1. Standard Processing Times
Credit/Debit Cards & E-Wallets: These transactions are usually instant. If it takes longer than 1 hour, the transaction may be stuck in a pending state with your bank.
Bank Wire Transfers: Traditional international bank wires typically take between 1 and 5 business days to clear, depending on the intermediary banks involved. Please note that weekends and global public holidays do not count as business days.
2. Name Mismatch (Third-Party Deposits)
For compliance and anti-money laundering security, Rise strictly prohibits third-party deposits.
The name on the bank account or credit card used to make the deposit must exactly match the verified name registered on your Rise profile.
If you deposit from an account under a different name, such as a spouse, family member, or a business account, when your profile is an individual account, the funds will be automatically rejected. Our finance team will hold the funds until they can be safely returned to the original sender, which may cause significant delays.
3. Bank Security Blocks
Sometimes, your personal bank may flag an international transfer to a financial services company for security reasons. Check your banking app or email to see if you need to approve the transaction.
